Then I also had games where my opponent mulliganed down to 5 just to start the game with two Leylines. But at least those games will be quick, because you can just scoop instantly if that happens :) So sometimes you can actually combo earlier than other unfair decks like Storm.Īnd regarding graveyard hate: There are some things that we cannot beat if we don't have Force of Vigor or Force of Will in our starting hand. This won't apply in higher-level competetive events, but at small tournaments or FNMs I've often had people put me on the draw even after they saw what I played.īesides that, Hogaak made the deck a bit faster, I'd say about half a turn.

And you can maybe even get a few wins simply because people don't know how to play against it. Most people probably won't expect it, at least in smaller tournaments. so I'd say, go for it! It's fun to see your opponent keep a perfect hand of turn 1 Delver into turn 2 Arcanist or something similar with Daze and FoW-backup, but this just doesn't do anything against us :D
